Crowd Jewel: Modern Classic Pearl Contest Winners!

Well darlings, recently I had the pleasure of sponsoring one of Crowd Jewel's design contests. For those of you unfamiliar with Crowd Jewel, they are an absolutely fabulous community driven design platform on the quest to find the next big jewelry designer! Designers are able to submit a piece relevant to a contest with a specific design direction and the community is able to vote on their favorite!  Given that I was able to choose the direction of the contest, I wanted it to be inspired by my all-time favorite accessory, Pearls! Thus, the idea for the "Modern Classic Pearls" contest was born! Continue reading on to find out how these two amazing contest winners took a classic piece of jewelry and added a modern twist!

Pinar Sondal - Toosis

Pinar Sondal is a lovely jewelry designer based out of Istanbul. She began designing jewelry in 2001 and has been creating exquisite pieces ever since! Her design, this long gold multi-layer pearl necklace was truly the crowd favorite! Using a carefully crafted technique she created a piece that can dress up any outfit! To see more of Pinar's gorgeous pieces you must check out her fabulous store, Toosis, where she features many more designs made of pearls and semi-precious stones!

Gali Smith - Mindful Designs

Gali Smith, of Mindful Design, is a designer whose aesthetic is geared towards the classics. Over nine years ago, she was inspired to begin designing jewelry after constantly searching for the perfect piece to accessorize her outfits with. She was a contest winner with this stunning silver grey moon pearl and chain necklace, which will look lovely paired with everything from a t-shirt to a ball gown! Not only are Gali's designs beautiful but a portion of her proceeds go towards helping animals in need, a cause that remains close to her heart.

Congratulations Pinar & Gali!!

xx,

  3. Gail's pearls are just beautiful, a delight to behold. She is so full of art as far as her jewelry is concerned and puts a lot of thought into her designs.
